Joint Supervision Program with College of Engineering, Korea U has just started

Following the agreement on the Joint Supervision program with the College of Science, Korea University concluded in July 2016, Unit for Energy and Nanomaterials supported the conclusion of the agreement on the Program with the College of Engineering, Korea University this May.

Some of the unit members have been engaged in educational and research collaborations with professors in College of Engineering, Korea University for years.
Introduction of the Joint Supervision Program to them through those activities brought the start of the Program with College of Engineering.
The Program with two colleges of Korea University will further enhance the collaboration in education and research in materials chemistry and energy related fields. The first candidate student of Korea University will come to Waseda to join the program in the next academic year.

*The Joint Supervision Program is intended for doctoral students to take supervision from two supervisors at both the home and host institutions. The students in the Program will spend some time at their host university for face-to-face research guidance, and supervision is carried out under mutual cooperation and consultation between the two supervisors. In addition, because this Program was designed with the purpose of implementing a joint doctoral degree program in the future, the students are required to take courses with their supervisor at the host university. Upon program completion, a certificate will be granted under the name of both university presidents.
