HOMMA, Takayuki

Title Professor
Affiliation Department of Applied Chemistry, Department of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering
Research Area Functional Surface Chemistry, Interfacial Electrochemistry, Nanofabrication Process
Research Interests

Our research focuses upon creation of nanostructured surfaces, thin films and materials with novel electronic/magnetic functions, as well as experimental and theoretical analysis on their fabrication processes, and their application to advanced devices/systems. We are mainly using electrochemical processes such as electrolytic and electroless deposition, electrochemical etching, and self-organized organic monolayers, to develop new processes. We also use electron beam lithography and nano imprinting, etc., to form ordered micro/nano patterns. The target application are ultra-high-density data storage device, Si solar cell, microscale thermoelectric device, highly-sensitive X-ray imaging sensor, etc.
