MOMMA, Toshiyuki

Title Professor
Affiliation Department of Nano-science and Nano-engineering, Department of Applied Chemistry
Research Area Electrochemical Energy Devices, Electrochemical Sensors, Electrochemistry, Electrochemical Impedance Analysis
Research Interests

His research interests are in the fields of electrochemical energy devices, bio-electrochemical sensors and electrochemical methods. He is working on materials of electrodes and interface design for rechargeable batteries including electrochemical systems for future batteries. Anodes for future batteries including Si and Li metal are extensively studied. The interfaces of anodes and electrolyte are investigated and modified surface of anodes were proposed. Also, novel cathode materials are studied with new processes to realize coherent micro structure. He is also working on electrochemical sensors including FET sensors and amperometric sensors. He is also interested in the development and improvement of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. He is currently working on the in situ electrochemical impedance analysis of rechargeable batteries and electrochemical interfaces as non-destructive diagnosis of the devices.
