Research Interests

Takeoka Laboratory is consist of three research groups; Nanosheet group, Liposome group, and Bio-imaging group. The nanosheet group focuses on the fabrication and functionalization of polymer thin films of which thickness is tens or hundreds nanometer to apply wound-dressing film, drug-loading and releasing film, stem cells-grafting film, adhesive electronic circuit film, skin-electrode, etc. The liposome group investigates the interaction of synthetic cationic aminolipids liposomes with immune cells and the interaction of anionic liposomes with activated platelets, aiming to develop novel molecular assembling systems to enhance immune responses and hemostasis. The bio-imaging group develops functional molecular probes for bio-imaging of temperature, oxygen, and chemicals with excellent spatiotemporal resolution. We are extensively collaborating our domestic and overseas partners including companies to practical development of our technology.
