The Unit member welcomed very first candidate from Monash University through the Joint Supervision Program with Monash University

Graduate School of Advanced Science and Engineering started the PhD Students co-supervision Program with Monash University, Australia in 2016. The Unit for Energy and Nano Materials played a key role for launching the program. Two Waseda students had already participated in and completed the program in the past two years. Monash University and Waseda have been continuously doing matching its faculty members and graduate students to boost the practical collaborations.

In 2018, Monash University set a scholarship "Science-Engineering PhD Mobility Scheme to Waseda University", which is the fund to send their graduate students to our university. This year first two students had stayed and studied at Waseda with this scholarship and one of them was a Joint Supervision Program candidate.  The candidate is the very first who was sent to us through the program. He took an intensive course and worked at Prof. Oyaize lab, the unit member, during his stay. He is expected to complete the program in 2020.
