The Virginia Tech-Waseda Joint Workshop on "Energy and Nanomaterials" was held on Friday, June 7, 2019. This is the 3rd workshop held together with Virginia Tech; the first workshop was held at Waseda University in 2017, and the second was held at the Virginia Tech in 2018. This year, four professors invited from Virginia Tech and seven Waseda professors delivered talks on their cutting-edge research topics in the wide range of research areas such as the organic and inorganic nanomaterials. Also, active discussions were taken place during the poster presentations delivered by four doctoral students from both universities.

Workshop Program

Waseda University (Graduate School of Advanced Science and Engineering) and Virginia Tech (College of Science) have concluded an agreement last year and started offering the Joint Supervision Program. In the program, the doctoral students carry out their projects under the joint supervision of both institutions. It is expected that the collaboration on research and educational activities in the fields of energy and materials chemistry between two institutions will be further deepened through the program.
