Virginia-Tech (VT) delegation visited the Unit for Energy and Nanomaterials for a joint workshop on “Energy and Nanomaterials”. The event was held on September 11.

Our unit members in particular focusing on macromolecular have collaborated with VT research groups over the years, such as dispatching graduate students or post-doctoral researchers in turn. The commencement of Top Global University Project accelerates educational and research cooperation through a framework authorized by the both universities. VT and Waseda have just begun the discussion about Joint Appointment and Joint Supervision Program for the purpose of student and faculty exchanges to bring a world standard educational and research environment.

Prof. Long, Director of Macromolecules Innovation Institute, talked about VT research activities

Workshop Abstract

In the workshop, organic and inorganic materials expected future contributions to the energy issues are featured. Each VT and Waseda professors and students talked about their own research activity for mutual understanding and matching people.
